Michelle Norris Yoga Teacher Austin, Texas at Sacred Streams Yoga
Michelle
I began practicing yoga in 2001 where I instantly fell in love with the art of listening to what my body and mind whisper. The flame of a more meaningful life grew in 2006 when dedication and passion for living mindfully began to root. It was a teacher’s gentle shove inspiring me to face my fears of “going inward”, that lead to a profound need for self-discovery. An itch to share what I had been cultivating lead me to the Living Yoga Teacher Training Program at Barsana Dham.  My most recent training was the Advanced Teacher Training through Dharma Yoga. I have a  theory that overall wellbeing is fostered through fun, innovative creativity, and self care. I bring with me an eclectic yoga style from all of the wonderful trainings and workshops I have been fortunate to attend, I step first as a student with an inquisitive nature, insight, and ability to laugh at myself.  I welcome you to flow, contort and laugh with me…

Rooted in the belief that yoga is for everyone, Susan encourages students to consider the various traditions and practices of yoga, and ultimately to follow their own inner teacher. Yogic philosophy is combined with mantra, asana, and meditation for a fun, eclectic yoga class. Susan also teaches restorative yoga and vinyasa flow.

Meet our Guest Instructors

Christina Ortega Austin Yoga Instructor
Christina
Yoga binds us as a whole and brings a unified connection of mind and purpose. Within each pose there are infinite ways to expand or go deeper, no matter how many times you have practiced that pose. Each day and each practice is different filled with it’s own unique and beautiful set of challenges and rewards. With so many physical and mental benefits to be gained, the practice of yoga is a worthwhile pursuit, one that has changed my life for the better. As a student of yoga, I feel I’ve primarily benefited from a spiritual and physical awareness and an overall presence of mind. As a teacher of yoga, I hope to not only impart these same core yogic practices and philosophies, but to also provide the same wonderful sense of calm and well-being that yoga has always given to me.
